Texto Original
We have been tasked to collect information about solutions AI and big Data can provide to help fighting COVID-19 (we are doing it also in parallel for robotics and other technologies).
The focus is particularly on solutions ready to be deployed (or which proven to be useful somewhere else – eg China, and we could benefit in Europe as well)
(we have read many articles about the potential contribution of AI to help, but here we are looking for existing solutions, where our action at the EC could help to deploy throughout Europe)
Could you please help us in collecting the following information:
- 1. Description of EU AI activities for hospitals in areas that are relevant to the corona
- 2. We need a systematic analysis: what can AI do to help (at home, in hospital (e.g. to accelerate diagnostics), in pharma lab (e.g. to test against existing modecules), etc)
- 3. Which AI/big data companies are relevant and can provide such solutions
- 4. What are the barriers and which action could the EC do to unlock them
Actually as priority, we should identify what can be done and deployed in the short term. (we need to act fast, therefore knowing what can be deployed quickly and which medical staff actually need)
As usual, we have very short deadlines (especially given the circumstances) – therefore any information you can provide until Monday noon would be wonderful! (please send them gradually, this would be extremely useful)
