Call: LC-D-6-1-2020. Subtopic: F Acronym of proposal: OFIT Project title: Sustainability of organic food production for small farmers Abstract Organic farming is an agricultural system that prohibits the use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides. It is toward to safety, healthy and environmentally friendly consumption. So, this project aims to demonstrate the sustainability of organic food production for small farmers and to test innovations of soil fertility improvement, soil amendment and biofertilizer, agroecosystem management, crops production, organic farming extension practices, and organic agricultural standard accreditation. Furthermore, there are systems for keeping crop quality and safety assurance from farm to table with crop investigation, harvesting indicators, environmentally friendly package, traceability, and smart logistics, e-commerce logistics and distribution centre platform. Plus organic fruits and vegetables will be processed and environmentally friendly produced for healthy and functional food products and food seasonings as well as innovative future foods. Apart from establishing social enterprise, that would be the best opportunity for farmers to do the organic farming tourism, organic farming recreational activities, farm stay, and also digital marketing for the distribution of organic food products. Finally, there would be an organic curriculum development for training and education. It will be provided to empower farmers with the strengthening of knowledge and skills.
