Project objectives:
Our project aims at producing, piloting, demonstrating and validating a novel serious game targeted for the education of people and businesses on efficient energy use in frequent daily activities. Our game will be playable on smartphones (Android) and will include all those characteristics that are commonplace in a purely recreational game (3D graphics, an exciting virtual ice-world, audio and video, multiplayer option, etc.), but instead of pure leisure it will be focused on educating and inspiring players to adopt and sustain a responsible behaviour regarding energy usage.
An important feature of our game concept is that it will be directly linked to the real world. The main way to gain the necessary resources (animal friends, ice blocks, additional iceberg surface, etc.) for expanding within the game will be through specific actions in real life. The installation of suitable smart meters and relevant software, together with information posted on social networks, will allow the identification of actions and the validation that they were actually performed.

Project objectives:
The aim of this project is to develop a spectroscopic system for the identification of contaminants, which will be applied to the monitoring of water quality. The enabling technology is a novel CMOS-MEMS based detector that will leverage plasmon-enhancement effects in the mid-infrared region.
The proposal targets the 29.a.iii sub-topic “Pervasive high-specificity and high-sensitivity sensing for a safer environment”
Partners sought: Research institutions, SMEs, Universities.

Project objectives:
The main goal of the project is the development and evaluation of a newer or improved medical optical diagnosis aid technology, based on Raman and other spectroscopy methods, for reliable detection of some cancer diseases. The technology will be based on acquisition and analysis of multiple parameters (biological markers) related to tissues molecular structure and functionality, using high-resolution Raman spectroscopy in the near-infrared or other spectral regions. This will be achieved by developing new application-specific photonic spectroscopy components, subsystems and integrating them in a new system, enabling, high sensitivity and selectivity and reliable specific cancers diagnosis, before, during and after the medical treatment process at a point-of care.
Special attention will be given to small diameter of the fibres and catheters to allow accessing tissue of various organs and the applicability to minimally invasive procedures.
Partners sought: Hospitals, Clinics, Big medical companies, Universities (photonics solutions), SMEs.

Project title: Indicators for a new territorial context
The project idea:
When creating larger regions that will administrate a bigger territory, different regional conditions should be accounted for. A new territorial context creates the need for reviewing existing indicators for regional territorial development in order to monitoring a new territorial reality. The need for territorial cohesion can also be crucial. The project aims to develop relevant indicators for monitoring territorial cohesion within a region in an accurate way. Many Swedish regions are also dealing with a large number of immigrants arriving. Integration is therefore also highly relevant in this context. Could it be possible to find indicators that combine cohesion between and within bigger regions? Better indicators for regional and territorial development can also be used as references in the ongoing process for the next cohesion policy past 2020.
Partners sought: institutes, regional and or local public authorities, and universities administrative authorities, ministries or equivalent organisations that are dealing with future territorial changes, or recently have been involved in territorial changes.

2) Call H2020-EE-03-2016-2017 Standardised installation packages integrating renewable and energy efficiency solutions for heating, cooling and/or hot water preparation under the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenges.
1) For the call H2020-EE-07-2016-2017 the London organisation would like to join a project with the following project idea:
Smart meters are currently being rolled out across the EU, including the EU. One of their key advantages is the generation of accurate consumption data. In the UK this data will be provided to energy companies directly and to consumers via energy companies or through the In Home Display (IHD). However, Consumer Access Devices will also provide an additional source of and route for data that can be accessed by consumers, property owners, energy companies or third party organisations to develop energy advice and/or new business models.
2)For call H2020-EE-03-2016-2017 standardised installation packages integrating renewable and energy efficiency solutions for heating, cooling and/or hot water preparation the London organisation would like to join a project with the following project idea:
Electric Plus – shining light on electric heating. Changes in technology are seeing a radical reassessment of electric heating in social housing. For many years it was installed for logical reasons but it lead to high running costs and consumer complaints. Recent work with housing providers in a has shown that the use of a mix of generation, storage and management are seeing the default choices of replacing electric heating being challenged. There is now the potential for reduced running costs, lower carbon impacts, improve controllability for customers and for landlords significantly reduce capital and revenue costs. The organisation is working with energy companies, technology and renewable energy suppliers to test the practical application of an ‘Electric Plus’ approach in social housing portfolios.
Partners sought: EU Partners that could be technology companies, social housing providers or energy companies that would be willing to lead the project.
