  • A Greek based organisation Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) (www.iccs.gr) is looking for partners to develop a project (Incubate Changes in Energy Behaviour through an Educational and Recreational Game, PS-GR-99121) under the Call Identifier H2020-ICT-2016 and the ICT-24-2016: Gaming and gamification (IA, Innovation Actions)

Project objectives:

Our project aims at producing, piloting, demonstrating and validating a novel serious game targeted for the education of people and businesses on efficient energy use in frequent daily activities. Our game will be playable on smartphones (Android) and will include all those characteristics that are commonplace in a purely recreational game (3D graphics, an exciting virtual ice-world, audio and video, multiplayer option, etc.), but instead of pure leisure it will be focused on educating and inspiring players to adopt and sustain a responsible behaviour regarding energy usage.
An important feature of our game concept is that it will be directly linked to the real world. The main way to gain the necessary resources (animal friends, ice blocks, additional iceberg surface, etc.) for expanding within the game will be through specific actions in real life. The installation of suitable smart meters and relevant software, together with information posted on social networks, will allow the identification of actions and the validation that they were actually performed.

Partners sought: University or Industrial partner with experience.

Project objectives:

The main goal of the project is the development and evaluation of a newer or improved medical optical diagnosis aid technology, based on Raman and other spectroscopy methods, for reliable detection of some cancer diseases. The technology will be based on acquisition and analysis of multiple parameters (biological markers) related to tissues molecular structure and functionality, using high-resolution Raman spectroscopy in the near-infrared or other spectral regions. This will be achieved by developing new application-specific photonic spectroscopy components, subsystems and integrating them in a new system, enabling, high sensitivity and selectivity and reliable specific cancers diagnosis, before, during and after the medical treatment process at a point-of care.
Special attention will be given to small diameter of the fibres and catheters to allow accessing tissue of various organs and the applicability to minimally invasive procedures.

  • The region Örebro County is searching for European partners to develop a common proposal for ESPON Targeted Analysis (Submission Deadline: 9th of March 2016)

Project title: Indicators for a new territorial context

The project idea:

When creating larger regions that will administrate a bigger territory, different regional conditions should be accounted for. A new territorial context creates the need for reviewing existing indicators for regional territorial development in order to monitoring a new territorial reality. The need for territorial cohesion can also be crucial. The project aims to develop relevant indicators for monitoring territorial cohesion within a region in an accurate way. Many Swedish regions are also dealing with a large number of immigrants arriving. Integration is therefore also highly relevant in this context. Could it be possible to find indicators that combine cohesion between and within bigger regions? Better indicators for regional and territorial development can also be used as references in the ongoing process for the next cohesion policy past 2020.

Partners sought: institutes, regional and or local public authorities, and universities administrative authorities, ministries or equivalent organisations that are dealing with future territorial changes, or recently have been involved in territorial changes.
